Ever heard the post-New Year’s expression, “New year, new me”?

As a fitness professional, it easily ranks as the number one phrase splattered all over social media the day after December 31st.

That’s why so many folks take what are known as “New Year’s resolutions” with such a hearty grain of salt. (And not the delicious Selefina French Grey variety, unfortunately!) There’s the pressure to make massive changes to yourself at the start of the calendar year, but what if— and hear me out, now…

… you didn’t wait for the New Year?

What if you took the opportunity to do something fresh, new, and rejuvenating for yourself every day, instead? Don’t you think that would be more sustainable? I do. (And trust me. It’s not without personal experience.) That being said, tea is a great way to start that daily rejuvenation habit!

Here are five of my favorite Adagio Wellness teas to help you make that happen.

1. Breathe Well

This tea has its special place on my roster because it contains so many ingredients that you don’t get in ordinary flavored blends. Eucalyptus is an incredible plant that has been studied for its effect on the human respiratory system, which is why you often find it in “spa”-type skincare, medicines, and healthy lifestyle products. Me? I just love the smell. It makes me feel fresh and clean and sharp to take on the world, without getting heady or distracted the way some other herbal smells can. Everyone reacts differently to scents and experiences, so now is a great time to learn your own personal responses according to your individual biology and sensory perceptions! You might find yourself attracted to the other amazing constituents of this tea: ginger, peppermint, cinnamon, orange, fennel, https://www.selefina.com/licorice-root.html" target="_new">licorice, schisandra, mullein, and lemongrass.

2. Tea-Tox

Before anyone gets suspicious, let me just clarify that the human body is already a perfectly-designed detoxing machine, and you shouldn’t feel pressured to do anything extra. We’ve been built with a set of fabulous organs and respiratory functions— hence why Breathe Well is such a great start for this. However, no environment is perfect, and sometimes it’s nice to have a little sidekick in our daily wellness challenges. That’s where Tea Tox really shines— and it’s super delicious, to boot! I attribute this to the power of the licorice involved, it really adds a kind of special sweetness that you don’t need honey for. (Unless, of course, you haven’t tried the Herbal Honey from Adagio Bees!)

3. Moringa

Here’s a new one for me, as well! This is the first time I’m mentioning it on Teamuse, and probably not the last. Moringa has some excellent qualities that are well-supported by science. But maybe the most important part here is that it’s a fresh take on nice, veggie-tasting herbal tea that doesn’t offer the same bitterness that can be a side effect of other teas. (Plus, how fun is it to say the word “moringa”? It’s impossible to deliver without a smile to go with it!)

4. Daydream

Now, I can truly appreciate the value of a calming blend that doesn’t knock you out after drinking it! “Daydream” is the perfect name for a tea that makes you feel gently mindful as you sip, while the flavors of the gentle hibiscus and passionflower do their work on your senses. Even if you’re running on low sleep, sometimes you don’t have time for a nap. This tea definitely has the ability to help, and I’d pair it with a dollop of the Fruit Tisanes Honey by Adagio Bees to really bring out all that lovely fruity sweetness from the citrus peels and tropical plants in this melange of happiness.

5. Happy Belly

And if we’re going to talk about happiness, we definitely can’t neglect this tasty tea fix! I love the harmony in this blend because it toes the line between sweet and savory, bitter and smooth, and doesn’t disappoint even if you oversteep it. Herbal teas, since they’re medicinal, are actually alright to let go for a few extra minutes— the longer, the better for maximum strength of the brew. And if you choose to do a lighter cup, it’s the perfect afternoon or post-meal beverage that doesn’t leave you feeling groggy afterwards, so you can tackle the rest of your day with a renewed vigor.

What are some ways that you plan on exploring and expanding your horizons in the New Year? Let me know in the comments!

Cheers!
